What a surprise to find a White Breasted African Comorant at Col Francis Beatty Park and Lake in Mecklenburg County, NC. This beautiful but somewhat odd looking bird put on a show with wings spread and diving into the water.It is my understanding that it is rare to find the Comorant in our area.
